A Lone Pioneer - The Fred Ramsey Tree by Chelsea Smith

About the film

Fred Ramsey was a bootlegging Oregon pioneer of the 1860's who once claimed 280 acres of land in St. Johns, yet today nobody knows his name. Now his grave rests at a busy intersection overgrown with weeds and bushes, guarded by a tall Cedar tree that has been damaged by weather and time. Meet the community members who commit themselves to making the site accessible by preserving both the tree and its' history.
